The Hague International Centre (THIC) will mark 15 years with a public exhibition in the Atrium of City Hall from 8–24 October, spotlighting the experiences of international residents and their contribution to the region. The show will also be open during Museum Night on 11 October.

Titled “15 Years of The Hague International Centre,” the exhibition presents a five-step narrative of settling in The Hague, tracing a journey from arrival to putting down roots. It features first-person stories from newcomers who have since become community builders, illustrating how international workers, students, researchers and families shape the city’s civic and cultural life.
Founded in 2010 and part of the Municipality of The Hague, THIC serves as a one-stop shop for people moving to the region, coordinating with the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) to facilitate municipal registration, citizen service numbers (BSN) and residence and work permits. It has welcomed more than 60,000 internationals over the past 15 years, and offers year-round helpdesks, guides, events and webinars covering housing, healthcare, education, employment and local life. Services are available to highly skilled migrants, diplomats, scientific researchers, international students, graduates, start-ups and their family members.
The Hague hosts more than 200 international organisations, among them the International Court of Justice, the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, the International Criminal Court, NATO and Europol—an ecosystem that draws global talent and makes the city’s identity as a centre of law, security and innovation. Stories from the exhibition will be published on THIC’s website and social channels. Media inquiries can be directed to The Hague International Centre’s communications team.
