About the Nederlands Film Festival

The Netherlands Film Festival (NFF) is both the home of Dutch cinema and the leading platform for the national Dutch film culture. The NFF presents Dutch film culture within both national and international contexts, at all times navigating the tension between artistic and commercial, between the popular and the elite, familiar and adventurous, past and present, the local and the global. During the Nederlands Film Festival in September, a lot of films premiere and the best Dutch films are presented to the very cinema-savvy Dutch audience. This special movie night for internationals is a collaboration with the International Welcome Centre Utrecht Region to make the festival accessible to the local international community.

About ‘KIDDO’

Lu thinks she’s spending an afternoon with her estranged mother Karina when she disappears into the adventure of a lifetime as Karina takes her to Poland in a beat-up sports car to stay together forever. The journey spirals out of control and Lu continues to step over her boundaries just to stay with her eccentric mother. KIDDO is a coming-of-age road movie with a nod to the lovers-on-the-run genre.
