Handel’s Messiah – Amsterdam
At the premiere of Handel’s Messiah on April 13, 1742 in Dublin, dignitaries, including the King, stood in awe at the ‘Hallelujah’ to pay tribute to this mighty composition. The intimate setting of choir and orchestra provides the ultimate experience of this world-famous composition. The musicians play authentic string instruments and are complemented by natural trumpets and timpani. Handel’s Messiah is one of the world’s most highly regarded compositions and is traditionally performed in December and Easter Monday by The Bach Choir & Orchestra of the Netherlands. Soloists
The choir and orchestra have an equal role in this world-famous oratorio. In addition, you are assured of some great soloists.
